Spend A Fun & Educational Day At Buck Stove

Join us for an exciting opportunity in Spruce Pine at the Buck Stove Corporation!  We’d be delighted to host your class for a fun filled, educational day in the mountains of western North Carolina.     Buck Stove, a world wide manufacturer of wood and gas heating products, gas grills and a fine line of home furnishings has partnered with several schools throughout the state to offer a full day of hands on learning in the 300,000 sq.ft. factory.  Class tours include live demonstrations, actual start to finish metal bending, press machinery, cutting and testing lab procedures. 

This is a fine addition to any science curriculum between 3rd and 8th grade.  Each class presentation is at an age appropriate level of learning for the current school.  Certified engineers and instructors spend the day with your students touring the factory, with a close up view of the manufacturing process.  Students are given Buck Stove souvenir items to take home and a small gift for their individual classroom.   Educational tours can host up to 120 students per day, broken into small groups of no more than 18-20.

Student tour pricing is $10 per student.  This includes all components of the educational demonstration, materials to take home and back to the classroom and a hot lunch!  Teachers and one adult chaperone per 18 students come along for FREE!
